Cricut Explore and 6 years old Granddaughter

Hello Friends,
Today has been very good all around.  Warm autumn weather, good food and good times with my visiting granddaughter.  I have had many laughs since Saturday, October 25 through today, Tuesday, October 28.  We have played with dolls, paper, glue, make-up and everything in between.  She has been my hairdresser, personal trainer (she told me I was not flexible) and advisory.
I promised her I would post some projects she worked on while she was here with me.  I cut out the images and she made her own collage:

Thanks for your time .
Be Blessed,

Lois

Busy Card Making Day

Hello My Friends,
Yesterday and today I had time to make cards.  My mind is on Thanksgiving and Christmas while we have one more week before Halloween.  I'm in love with my cricut explore and we are having a wonderful time together.  Next week may be a little busy for me.  I am expecting company from Saturday until next Wednesday (my granddaughter).  She likes to stay busy playing with Grandma and her dolls.  I'm going to see if I can get her to make a card or two.
These are the cards I made:

Autumn Card with the Cricut Explore

Hello My Beautiful Viewers,
Today I would like to share a card I made with the Cricut Explore and one with a  new technique I'm trying to learn.
The first "Give Thanks" using the Explore. I  cut out everything with the Explore except the card base and the designer paper:

This card is a "slider card"and my first attempt at making one.  I followed the directions but my idea for the front is not making me excited.  It feels "blah".  What do you think?

WHY?

Hello My Friends,
It was a beautiful day on Sunday, October 19.  The lesson for our Sunday school class was "Hope Complains". From the book "Job" we explored Job's complaint about the appearance that God does nothing to call wicked people to account;  In anguish, Job cries out to the Almighty, but God's silence only compounds his suffering.  Job asks the question "Why?"  He believes God is the Almighty One, and he also believes that God is righteous and just.  If this is the case, then why are the wicked allowed to oppress the poor and innocent?  "If God is all-powerful and always good, how can He allow evil to flourish?"  God will answer the cries of the oppressed and deliver them from evil. Yes, the unfaithful will finally be destroyed.

Cricut Explore

Hello My Friends,
It is finally at my house and in my craft room.
The all talked about Cricut Explore.  I received it on Friday, October 10 and took it out of the box to play with it this morning.
Here it is along with three cards that I made today.

Breast Cancer Awareness (BAC) Month

Hello My Friends and Viewers,
It is a nice crisp cool morning on the east coast.  Hopefully, as the day goes on it will get a little warmer.
Things are going well with me.  What about you?
Here is a topic that I spoke on last Sunday: The Rewards of Patience based on Habakkuk 2:1-5; 3:17-19. Not many of us possess patience which is a virtue.  We live in a "fast" lane.  We want everything now and don't want to wait for anything.  This can be from food at a restaurant, driving down the highway to answered prayers.
As believers, we can have confidence and trust in God while knowing that He is able to deliver us in our trials regardless of the circumstances.
Today, using that message, I would like to share some cards for breast cancer awareness:
