Hello viewers, followers, friends and visitors. Welcome to the middle of the week. Welcome to the last day of May. June...here we come. Schools will be closing. Beaches are already open as well as amusement parks. What shall we do with all this down time for the summer?
I would love to go fishing one more time. I bought a license to do just that for last summer and never went near a pond or ocean water to do so. The license has expired so I'll have to get a new one and hopefully find somewhere to cast that line and pull up a "big" one (lol).
My cards for today was inspired by Jennifer McGuire's blog post on 3 Ways: Alphabet & Word Dies.
http://www.jennifermcguireink.com/2017/05/3-ways-alphabet-word-dies.html.
I did some of what she did plus added my own where necessary.
Take a look and let me know what you think.
I used stamps, Versa Mark ink, white embossing powder, distress inks and word dies:
This card uses the inlay word "prayers" on the resist piece. The bottom part of the resist piece was cut off using a scalloped border from Lawn Fawn. A black piece of cardstock has the rest of the sentiment stamped and embossed with white embossing powder. Three faux gems surrounds the sentiment words. Various colors of distress ink was used to color the background.
I'm adding this one over at http://www.wordartwednesday.blogspot.com.
This card also uses the resist technique but this time the "hello" sentiment was cut several times and layered on top of one another to create a pop up looking effect. Faux gems were used around various places on the card.
