"Celebrating International Women's Day"

Hello beautiful people.  Welcome to Friday, March 8, 2019.  It is International Women's Day and we are celebrating.  Why?  (The following is copied from Google).

The day aimed to help nations worldwide eliminate discrimination against women. It also focused on helping women gain full and equal participation in global development.

Every day is Women's Day. Women deserve more. Today women are under-esteemed. Men think that this day is like Valentine's Day. It is the day when women are recognized for their achievements without regard to divisions, whether national, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic or political.
The day has occurred for well over a century, with the first IWD gathering in 1911.

The day is not country, group or organization specific - and belongs to all groups collectively everywhere.  International Women's Day is all about unity, celebration, reflection, advocacy and action - whatever that looks like globally at a local level. But one thing is for sure, International Women's Day has been occurring for well over a century - and continues to grow from strength to strength.   So make International Women's Day your day and do what you can to truly make a positive difference for women.
