Hello friends, visitors, followers and viewers.
Happy Wednesday, April 3, 2019. It is such a delight to be here and to have made it to the middle of the week. How great is that?
How many of you have ever lived on or near a farm?
When I was growing up, my grandfather (maternal side) had a farm. I thought it was fun to go visit and play around in the fields and walk around the yard with the animals. However, when I became a little older but not yet a teenager, I had to work on a farm. This time it was not my grandfather's farm because he was deceased, but my uncle who planted peanuts, tobacco and cotton. As I've become older, people keep referring to farm life as "such a beautiful life". Yes, it was and is if you can continue to play and have fun but when it becomes a means to eating and financial provision, personally I look at it different. It is a lot of work. Keeping the animals fed... Keeping the fields plowed and harvested...Milking the cows...Collecting the eggs...Whew!!! All you can see and do is WORK, WORK, WORK. Don't get me wrong. I love to look at farm life but not to live a farmer's wife or life.
I have in my possession, "Spring Farm House" paper by Prima. I used it today along with Hunkydory's "Foxy and Friends" paper pad to make a card or two:
Enabler's List:
Cardstock: Neenah white; Recollections black: DP from DCWV "the Mariposa Matstack and from Hunkydory "Foxy and Friends paper pad
inks: American Craft Bible Journaling ink pads; Distress inks (fossilized amber and abandoned coral); Hero Arts light blue and green
embellishment: Jolee's boutique dimensional stickers (eggs and chick)
followed the sketch given by Splitcoaststampers.com SC743
On the farm: animals, flowers, eggs, chicks, butterflies, bunnies,
Such a beautiful life...
Go forth and have a glorious day. Thanks for viewing with me today.
Sending you a hug and love,
Lois
