Hello beautiful people.
In my neck of the world, the calendar says it is fall but the outside temperature says it is still summer. Am I complaining?...heck no. If it stayed this way for 365 days out of the year I would be happy with the temperature but not with the bugs. It's just beautiful.
What is going to happen on the first Saturday in October?
Card makers will be celebrating World Cardmaking Day. Some of us have already started or as I chuckle to myself...some of us never stopped. We make all types of cards..Birthday, Sympathy, Thinking Of You, Christmas, Anniversary, etc. People love to receive money and gift cards and then there are those who love to receive something made especially with them in mind...like a nice card.
I made two cards today. One for a birthday and one for encouragement.
The encouragement card is really an inspiration from an assignment we did for the month of September at our church. We were assigned the book Who Moved My Cheese? by Spencer Johnson, M.D. I read this book when I was a college student (so, so many years ago). I read it again for our assignment and the card is an interpretation of my summary..."Change How You See and See How You Change".

Wow, more great cards; I especially like the inspirational card and will have to read that book soon. I'm not sure how much I'll get done for WCD since my daughter will be home for a visit this weekend.
