"Never Give Up"

Hello to all the beautiful people on this Monday, April 27, 2020.
It's the last week before entering the month of May.  So much has happened in these last four months of the year.  We started out with refreshed ideas for 2020 because we all had a vision of what we wanted to do and achieve.  All is not lost.
My Pastor preached on HOPE yesterday and today I want to piggyback on some things he said while using another topic.

  • Praise the LORD for all the things that came close to you that could have harmed you but didn't happen
  • God still has HIS hand around you to make a way out of "no" way
  • You belong to the LORD and you have a new hope; new strength; new love; new peace and new wellness
  • Thank GOD for his past, present and future...HOPE because of God's promise...HE has never failed
  • In whatever situation you are in, you need to become so uncomfortable that you change and God can get the glory.   God will not be in competition with any of those idols that you try to put him with.  Move them out so God can move in and be the center of your life.
Here is my piggyback part.
"Never give up!"  You have started right, now hang on, never give up.  Refocus so you can focus on God.
The problem we have is that when things are not going the way we want them to go,  our tendency is to grow weary and to be fainthearted and slack off.  First of all, it could be worse!  Though we may have it rough, it has not been as rough as it could have been. The future may yet call for more strength on our part.  Second, hardships prove our sonship.  Therefore, if we have discipline, if we are going through struggles and problems, then thank God.  God is asking us to rejoice, nevertheless, not saying, "Hallelujah, it hurts," but "Hallelujah, it helps!" It is possible to go through trials and never have them do a thing for you because you complain all the time. Trials never do anything for you if you are always grousing and griping.  You say you have had to take one setback after another; that at times it seems hidden forces are ranged against you; that life has played you a "dirty trick." But why should any of these things keep you from bobbing back? Look who is in front of you! "When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him" (Isaiah 59:19).

The Gospel has other words for other days, but the word today is, stay in there. Persevere. Show your mettle. "Hang tough." Strike a blow for Jesus Christ in spite of everything. For if you give in now, you may lose far more than you realize. But if you stick with it -- and with God -- there is everything to gain.
My card share:
This card was made with pieces of cardstock that was in my stash.  I have no idea what company they came from.  Anyway, I hope you enjoy the view.

Sending you a hug and love,
Lois

Great card, Lois.. and love your Pastor's message.. so true in every way.
Esp I LOVE Isaiah, one of my fav books .. when enemy shall come in like a flood the LORD shall raise up a standard against him!
Praise His name.. for indeed Satan was defeated by three little words.. on the cross. "It is finished!"
Finished..Satan thought then he'd won but no, he was finished! Christ was victorious and rose again!
I've just published a post on my Christian blog called "Standing at Wits End Corner ". I hope you might pop over.. its the Wonderful Words link below. 😊

Thanks for sharing, and may God bless and keep you and all whom you love, in these changeable times.
As Paul wrote: "We walk by faith, not by sight."

Wow, this is so pretty! I am glad that I finally have time to catch up with my crafty friends. The layout is so visually appealing. Isn't it wonderful what we can do with our scraps? Great work!
