Hello to all the beautiful people. Happy Monday, May 11, 2020.
I hope all the mothers and all those who step in as mothers enjoyed your day on yesterday. It is a new normal. I had to experience my children's love from a distance. Many were using Zoom, Face-time and any means necessary to send or be with their mother on yesterday.
When I posted a piggyback on my Pastor's preaching, some of you were excited. I don't always get a message from God to pass something on and interpret it in my own way. However, I will share his topic and the three things he brought out on yesterday's sermon. It was taken from Matthew 15:21-28. The topic and three interesting points: "I‘ll Always Love My Mama"...Be Relentless, Be Ridiculous and Be Resolved. Think on those three things and what they would mean to you whether you are a mom or just an individual.
Now, it's time for me to use this platform to V E N T.
Friday, after being at home for practically a month, we went out to do some major grocery shopping (it was said, when you go out to the store, make it meaningful). There are rules about staying six feet from the next person and respecting their space. There are rules about wearing mask. The store we enter had a big sign at the front of the building that said, "face mask are required". Everything and I mean everything was going fine until we were ready to check out. There was a woman in line behind me who didn't have on a mask and she refused to follow the social distancing rule. I didn't get rude or even say anything to her. I kept starring at her with a look in my eyes to tell her to move out of my space. She ignored the gesture. I may have huffed and puffed loud enough for the clerk to hear me because she immediately told the woman that she needed to move and follow the distancing guidelines. Of course she was perturbed with the clerk and with me when I thanked the clerk for saying what I didn't say. If, by the end of this week when our state is going to issue Phase I for reopening, and some people just feel that these rules are not for them, then, I will be at home for another month. How rude and obnoxious can you be? If I'm following the rules, what makes you think and act as if this virus can't be spread by you? I'm protecting myself (by wearing a mask) from you as well as protecting you from me. Why can't you do the same and stay the normal distance away?
Thank for letting me V E N T. We/I will find the calm in the chaos.
