"Prima, Zella Teal"

Hello friends, followers, visitors and viewers.
I hope you're having a great morning or day so far.
I'm sharing a card today that I made using  the Zella Teal paper pad and some Prima flowers with a few die cuts.
I titled it "Memories".  Again, this card can be used for various occasions.

Enabler's List:
Neenah white cardstock; light blue PaperandMore cardstock; Pattern paper from Prima Zella Teal paper pad; black Recollections cardstock
dies: Spellbinders Resplendant rectangles die and Spellbinders foliage dies
embellishment: Prima flowers.
We all have memories of something or someone.  Let's reflect on the good as well as the bad but let the good overcome the bad.
This week has been a week of reflecting on what "Passion Week" was all about for all of us who believe and for those who are learning about God's gift to us.

Thanks for viewing.  I hope the remainder of your day be filled with joy and happiness.

Sending you a hug and LOVE,
Lois

"Your Fondest Memories"

Thursday, February 2, 2017

Hello to all my friends, followers, visitors and viewers.
Welcome once again to the LilArtsyWoman blog.   So far, it has been a great day where I am.  What about you?   There has been much talk about whether the groundhog saw his shadow.  If  the groundhog was in my neck of the woods, it would have pretty much saw its shadow.  Why?  We have beautiful sunshine in our area.  A day to take a brisk walk (with a wrap or medium heavy jacket).

Question to ponder:  What are your fondest memories?
Could it be your first love....your wedding day...your first child...your first job...your first kiss...driving by yourself for the first time...going abroad on a trip...sleeping outside during a camping trip... your first home...graduating from high school or college...your family members who have passed away....or is it that you don't have any memories at all.

Today's card has that sentiment written on it...Memories.
When I placed it there, my thought was to use it for a sympathy card ( I had just received a notice about a blog friend who had lost her brother).  Thinking a little deeper, memories don't have to be about a love one who is no longer with us but they could be about a happy occasion.  One that has celebratory meanings.
I'm going to send this card to my sister (she will be celebrating her 7th year as a breast cancer survivor next Wednesday).  Memories of what was but turned around by God so she could stay on this side with a purpose (she does have a testimony).

Your view for today:

below are some of the items I used to make this card: Darice embossing folder; Sizzix die; K & Company botanical garden; and  Recollections cardstock

Thanks so much for your time and your comment.
Come again!

Lois

"MEMORIES"

Hello and Happy Wednesday to all my Friends, Followers, Visitors and Viewers.
What a wonderful  day we are having.  It is another day to do better than you did yesterday.

We all have memories don't we?  Some are happy and some are sad.  There are ones that we wish to forget but they keep lingering on almost never going away.  Some you thought you had suppressed until someone comes along and say, "remember when you..... or, remember when ".  I know the Christmas holiday of 2015 is  still fresh in your memory.  Storm Jonas .....

Whether your memories are good, bad, sad, or forgotten,  I have a card for that:

This "MEMORIES" card was made with the following:
  • light grey, white and black Recollection cardstock;  the white piece was embossed with a Tatter lace folder and lightly colored with abandoned coral and cracked pistachio Distress Inks.
  • two pieces of homemade mulberry paper from Amazon
  • Jolee's boutique dimensional sticker
  • five faux rhinestones from Recollection

This "Air Mail" card was made with the following:
  • purple Recollection cardstock for the base with a gold and purple piece of DP for the mat
  • white Recollection cardstock that was embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder
  • a Darice die cut stencil was used to cut out the shape from the white cardstock, letting the gold and purple piece to peep through the opening
  • a Recollection bird cage was hung with a piece of purple hemp cord through one of the openings
  • four wooden birds were placed on the card
  • sentiment "Air Mail" from Tim Holtz's Ephemera pack was adhered to the top right corner
I hope whatever memory popped in your mind...it was a good one.

Thanks for viewing.  Thanks for commenting.  Thanks for your continued support.  Have a good day!
