"Christmas Card In October"

Good day to all!
Happy Tuesday, October 16, 2018.
Are you a boss? Are you a great boss?  Do you treat your employees with respect?   If so happy National Boss Day to you.
I hope your employee's will show some appreciation towards you today that is if you have been kind and fair towards them.  You show love to receive love.  Don't expect people to honor you for your lack of compassion and sincerity.  If you have dishonored your employees during the year, then, don't look forward to them appreciating you on this day.  However,  for those bosses who have given their best in behavior and fairness, then maybe you will enjoy your appreciation today.
The weather is a little cool and crisp outside in my area.  It reminded me of winter and Christmas.  I put two paper types together to create a Christmas card today. I know we haven't had Halloween or Thanksgiving but Christmas is going to be upon us very soon.
Here is a closer look at my creation:
Enabler's List:
cardstock: Neenah white for base;  the next two blue layers are from Our Daily Bread Design "Blooming Garden Collection;  the grey layer and focal image are from Heartfelt Creations "Winter's Eve Collection" and the dark blue is from PaperandMore.
embellishment: pinecone is a Jolee's boutique sticker and the blue dots are Ranger's liquid Pearls (robin's egg blue).

We can explore Christmas in any month of the year.  Most of the time we try to keep up with Christmas in July and in December.  Anytime of the year in which we can squeeze in a Christmas card we should do so.  It is one of the most card giving time of the year.

Thanks for viewing.  Go forth and be crafty today.

Sending you a hug and love,
Lois

P.S.  I'm still having a problem posting to your blog.  If  you post to Google+,  I'm able to show you some love.

"Are You Having A Beautiful Day?"

Good Friday to my friends, followers, visitors and viewers.
Well, today is the beginning of a weekend adventure for some.  Especially for those who don't have to work this weekend.  Maybe you will do some traveling, sightseeing or shopping.  Or you just may do that one thing you have craved all week and that is to rest, relax and regroup for next week.
Taxes are done and paid, now on to more relaxing things to do.
We have bright sunshine but windy conditions outside today.  It looks beautiful from the window but when you step outside, you should have on something to keep you warm.
Still, it is a beautiful day.  Beautiful because I can sit here and type a post to you. Beautiful because of your ability to look around yourself and see, hear, feel and experience the great pleasure or satisfaction of your surroundings.  Beautiful because of just the simplicity of the "little things" that you admire...sometimes it doesn't take much to do that.  Beautiful because of what is in the eye of the beholder.  Everyone doesn't see beauty the same way...that's what makes us so different from one another.
Here is my card share on "Oh What A Beautiful Day".  Remember, it is Friday and I'm making it clean and simple using what is on my desk...something that I can put my hands on quick and fast.  For today, it was a paper pad and a book of planner stickers.

No matter what you do this weekend...make it a safe and fun experience.  Look out for yourself as well as the next guy.
Thanks so much for all your lovely comments and continue to come again for enjoyment!

Sending you a hug and LOVE,
Lois

"ODB Designs...Blooming Garden Collection"

Hello friends, followers, visitors and viewers.
Are we moving forward into spring or does winter wants to hold us down a little while longer?
The month of March does have that old saying, "it comes in like a lion and leaves out like a lamb".
I had to put on the heavy garment yesterday to go out to church.  I will have to do the same today when we venture out.  Our area is listed in the rain turning to snow forecast and it is not something I'm looking forward to enjoying.
Since the trees, grass and some flowers are and have bloomed...I thought I would create a card that looked liked spring...yes, it is on it's way.  It gave us a glimpse a few days ago.
I've set aside the Our Daily Bread Designs Blooming Garden Collection paper pad a few days ago and decided to use it this morning.
