"Strength"

Hello on this Thursday, January 9, 2020 to all !
It is nice and cold in my neighborhood.  It really would be nice to be back in an area that is warm and cozy, but I'll take my place of happiness for the present time.
Let's focus on "strength" for today.
How strong are you?  Seriously, when you look at yourself in the mirror or think about your overall self, how strong are you?  At this time of the year, many are in the gym to work on strengthening  their core muscles.  Does this mean that you are not physically strong?  Are you able to manage your emotions, thoughts and behaviors in ways that set you up for success?  If not, does this mean that you are not mentally strong?
What are some examples to determine strength?  Enthusiasm.  Trustworthiness. Creativity. Discipline.  Patience.  Respectfulness.  Determination.  Dedication.  Are you lacking in one or all of theses areas?
Maybe we should look at one definition of "strength" taken from the vocabulary.com dictionary:  ...permanence by virtue of the power to resist stress or force.  Let's go one step further and mention
"indestructibility"...the strength to resist destruction.
My point for today, which prompted this post, is that when we think about ourselves and our "strength", it has nothing to do with our physical ability.  "Strength doesn't come from what you can do.  It comes from overcoming the things you once thought you couldn't".~Rikki Rogers

We are strong even when we think we are weak.  Many of us have overcome  numerous things in our lives and we are still standing strong.  Keep this in mind as you go about your day or evening.

Sending you a hug and love.
Lois
