Hello friends, followers and visitors.
Happy Tuesday, July 28, 2020. This month has gone by like a blur. I don't remember any significant thing that I accomplished during this month. It could be because of not being as active and participating in activities beyond my backyard or in my house. The most memorable thing was going with my DH when he purchased a new vehicle. Everything else that I did was not important or significant.
Question for you my friends and viewers: What do you do with your creations when they just don't come out the way you envision them to be. For two days, I've had this idea of making creations with the main color to be "blue". I don't have a good feeling about any of them from Monday or today. I think I'm in a crafting slump. My own creations are not inspiring me! I made them, yes. Do I want to give them to someone else...um-mm ? Now, that is the question.
This is the project from yesterday (Monday):
I started with a canvas. My intention was to create a mixed media project. I wanted to change from creating a greeting card. In using the crackle paste, I was impressed with it and how the images came out but something just didn't appease me after I thought I had finish this.
I was really liking the progress of this card until I added the leaves behind the flowers. It would have been great from my perspective if the leaves would have been blue to match the other blue instead of the green that I used. Overall, I could enjoy this one more than the canvas. I'm going to share this one to https://www.wordartwednesday.blogspot.com to see what views I get.
Let's be honest. There are too many little "busy" elements on this card. Your eyes don't really focus on one particular item. The top (with the butterflies) needs to be neutral with only the sentiment to make this card lovable. Or, I could have made the middle layer with paper that didn't have a lot of blue and white. There is something about this card that doesn't let my eyes focus. What do you think?
Should I try blue and yellow again on Wednesday or just go in another direction. Come back again to see what did I choose to do.
Sending you a hug and love,
Lois
