Happy Wednesday to my family, followers, friends and viewers.
When you think of democracy, especially those of us who live in the United States of America, is it in peril and going down the drain? Have we become the laughing stock to other nations as things have been unfounded, challenged and lied about in the past four years?
Richardt Stormsgaard writes: Our U.S. democracy has fallen from the seventh position to 39th in the world in just the past four years, and our elections have been downgraded from “free and fair” to “somewhat free and fair.” We are now ranked behind a number of Eastern European countries — including Lithuania, Latvia, Slovakia, and Slovenia — that only in recent decades became democracies while ours is the oldest in the world.
The United States is currently the only country in North America or Western Europe suffering from “significant autocratization.” India, Brazil, Russia, Turkey, Poland and Hungary, along with the United States, are defined as “rapidly deteriorating democracies."
From https://www.democracy.whistleblower.org/, the author wrote: Our democracy requires urgent protection. The truth and those who stand up for it are under relentless attack from government officials and agencies who deny the reality of corruption and abuse of power perpetuated by the administration for the purpose of personal and political gain. Citizens recently casted a ballot to ensure that those elected represent the interests of the people. Yet with an administration unwilling to accept the results of results, we must proactively work to restore confidence in our election process to protect the values—and indeed the existence—of truth, accountability, and a healthy democracy.
On a happier note and post, here are cards I made for your viewing:
This card was made for the sketch challenge on Splitcoast Stampers (SC835). Their first sketch challenge for 2012. This will also be posted on https://www.wordartwednesday.blogspot.com

Beautiful cards - great job as always!!!
Speak the truth, my sister. Speak it. What people may or may not know is that, in the end, ALL we really need is JESUS. But yes, things are a changing for certain. I continue to pray that God will have continued MERCY on us as a nation. But in the end, He is ultimately in control and comes out victorious above all. We need only to look to Him for ALL our needs. Thanks for sharing your wonderful art with us as always, Lois. You are such a blessing to me and I'm always so very blessed by the lovely cards and creations you share with us. Have a blessed week.
