Happy Monday, March 1, 2021 to everyone.
It is the beginning of March as well as the celebration of Women's History Month. I encourage you to join in commemorating and encouraging the study, observance and celebration of the vital role of women in American history. Black History month was in February. I'm not sure how many of you studied, observed or celebrated during that time and it really doesn't matter. Just remind yourself that it will be around again next year. As most black Americans will say, "I celebrate my heritage all year long". For what reason are we to celebrate Women during the month of March? Between 1988 and 1994, Congress passed additional resolutions requesting and authorizing the President to proclaim March of each year as Women’s History Month. Since 1995, presidents have issued a series of annual proclamations designating the month of March as “Women’s History Month.” These proclamations celebrate the contributions women have made to the United States and recognize the specific achievements women have made over the course of American history in a variety of fields. So, from me to you, Happy Women's History Month:
