For Your Inspiration and My Visual Reference

Well, well!! Guess who made it back to this blog post.  Yes, it's me blogging on this cool, damp Monday morning on April 24, 2023.  This lady has been very, very busy with so many crafty things going on.  She is making cards to send to the soldiers, mini albums/folios for family and friends, and jewelry (not posted here).   I'm sharing pictures for you to get some inspiration to make the same or somewhat the same card.  I always like to keep a visual record of what I've made to refer back to it someday for my own reference and inspiration.  I pray that all have and is well with you and your family.

Here is what I've made since my last posting.  Some of these cards have been sent to "Cards For Soldiers".  Some have been entered for inspiration @Splitcoaststampers and some have been given away:

I hope you find something to replicate or use for your cardmaking.
Take care and be safe.
Blessings,
Lois

"Cards For Soldiers"

Happy Friday Everyone,
I've been up and out and now back at home to get busy, busy for the remainder of my day.
Due to an early appointment this morning, I worked on two cards last evening for the box I have  label "Cards For Soldiers".  By doing some organizing yesterday, I have a few of this and not enough of that left over in my stash.  It is Friday and this is usually what I do best...use what I've put aside for days like this.

I had some K & Company Flora & Fauna stickers left over from a project (see first card).  I paired the sticker with three Martha Stewart pink flower stickers (under the bird).  Along with the three medium flowers, I used three small pink Recollections flowers on foliage cut from TH die, Garden greens. I used Ranger liquid pearls drops in groups of threes on the panel.  The paper is some I have in my stash.
I'm going to use this card for an entry at
http://www.wordartwednesday.blogspot.com    Challenge #324 - #325...Anything Goes

The second card on the right was formed from using Distress Oxides on a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock.  The colors were: peacock feathers, seedless preserves and picked raspberry.  I used  Spellbinders Bible Journaling by Joanne Fink stamp along with a Dylusions floral flourish stamp.

Thanks for taking a little time to enjoy the view today.
Have a fun, filled weekend and enjoy yourself.
Comments are welcome.

Sending you a hug and love,
Lois

"Cards For Soldiers and Others"

Hello friends, followers, visitors and viewers.
On today, October 23, 2017, I welcome you to another day of crafting.
I hope your weekend was enjoyable and you had a lot of fun doing what you like to do.
Many of you who frequent this blog know that I make cards for many different people....family, friends, church members, soldiers, children in hospitals, hospital gift shops, etc.

Today, I'm making another card for my "Cards for Soldiers" box.  This organization accept cards throughout the year for our overseas troops.  At this time of the year, my contact person is constantly asking for cards and is encouraging us to tell anyone who can help out to do so.   Here is the address if you have some cards to donate:
Cards for Soldiers
C/O Charly Mathews

Grayling, MI 49738

Another place to donate, especially for the soldiers is
Operation Quiet Comfort
C/O Diane Schneider

At the moment your donation should be blank ( nothing stamped or written )on the inside; patriotic; do not send envelopes; if you make your own card front sentiment,  it has to be done using the Century Gothic font in your word processing program.

If you know of any other places to donate cards to, please let me know in the comment section below.

Sharing with you before I share with the soldiers:
