"Stimulating Without The Check"

Hello to all the beautiful people on this Thursday, April 23, 2020.  One more Thursday before the month comes to an end.  Then, we can begin with the month of May.
Are you watching your online bank account or watching the pile of mail to see if that so called "Stimulus Check" has come?   Can you be stimulated without the check?
I really had to laugh at myself when this title came across my mind this morning.  I'm just feeling a little quirky and being a girl who just wants to have some fun today.  Believe me, there is no check from me to you.  I only have my creative inner self to help you in this capacity.
I had to check with "Google" to find some information that I could help myself to understand and use to inspire you to read this commentary.
Here is what I got from vocabulary.com:
If the economy is starting to stall, the president can't just sit there. He has to stimulate—turn it on, bring it to life, perk it up. You can stimulate practically anything: a person, a conversation, a mind, or even the growth of a plant.
Stimulate is often used to describe a physical or sexual sensation, but don't get bogged down in that kind of thinking. Often, a government will try to stimulate economic activity by creating a stimulus package. Or, say, for example, that I'm trying to sell my new song CD. In order to stimulate interest, I need to send out a sample song to all my friends. Unless, of course, my songs are no good.
I'm trying to stimulate your creativity with my card creations and hope that they will inspire you to produce something the same or similar to what you see here:
"Father God, help us to encounter each day with confidence & complete trust that You will provide our every need, Amen

I made this one this morning.
I'm adding this one on https://www.wordartwednesday.blogspot.com

"Only a MOTHER  can communicate Love Without Saying A Word"
The first Mother's Day card for 2020.  Many more to come

Ladies and gentlemen, I hope something you see here today will stimulate you into being creative either in card making or some other venue to inspire others to do the same.  I realize that not everyone can make cards so whatever you can do (cook, sew, sing, dance, etc.) to get others up and going, please do so.

Sending you some stimulating love,
Lois

"A Community In Mourning"

Monday, April 20, 2020
Good morning/afternoon/evening/night to all the beautiful people.
I'm doing okay, not 100% great but just okay.  People in my community are succumbing to the Covid-19.  Two people that I worked with in the school system and the sister to one of these individuals died within this time frame:  Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.  The husband to one of these individuals is still in the hospital due to this virus. Four people (three from one family and a coworker to one of the family members).  People are protesting because they don't want to stay at home...what is wrong with them?
Okay, I can understand you have cabin fever.  Even if you go out in public why is it that you don't want to put a mask or gloves on?  Do you want to see just how many people you can affect with this virus?  Four people...three in the same family. Think about how quick it can spread in one house.
This stuff is real and it is in my neighborhood.  I'm not fearful but I am in mourning with my community because I know these people so well.
I'm loaded with card shares today because I didn't have time on Friday to post here.
Take a look:
this was done on Friday and posted to Instagram

this one was done on Friday and posted to Instagram.

this one was done on Friday
This one was done on Sunday for the the family of the two sisters who passed away.

This one was done this morning.  I was trying to get myself out of this feeling of sadness.  No matter what is going on in this world, I know that the God I serve has it under control.  I still have hope in the invisible.  What I can't see, God is working through this trouble using it for our good.
I will submit this one to https://www.wordartwednesday.blogspot.com

Have a blessed day everybody,
Lois

"Snow Joy...and Taking A Journey"

Hello Beautiful People
Did it snow?  Yes it did and God blessed us with a beautiful winter wonderland.
Here, enjoy the view with me:

What a beautiful scenery.  Now that I've seen the first snow for 2020 in my area...it is enough and it was pretty.  God provided and I'm satisfied.
I had my snow people already cut out and was anxious to make a card with them.  Since my DH and I were both anticipating the snow and I imagine with thousands of other people, I used a snowman and a snow lady on this card.  The caption reads...Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow!
This will be the only "snow" card for the present time.

This card is one for the masculine men.
Have you ever been on Route 66?  Do you know where to find Route 66?  From Wikipedia...
The highway, which became one of the most famous roads in the United States, originally ran from Chicago, Illinois, through Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona before ending in Santa Monica in Los Angeles County, California, covering a total of 2,448 miles (3,940 km).[5] It was recognized in popular culture by both the hit song "(Get Your Kicks on) Route 66" and the Route 66 television series, which aired on CBS from 1960 to 1964. In John Steinbeck's classic American novel, The Grapes of Wrath (1939), the road "Highway 66" symbolized escape and loss.
I used paper from Ciao Bella "Collateral Rust" to make this card.  Life is so good...Take a journey, find yourself.
My husband loves old cars as well as some other men in my neighborhood.  I'll be giving this to one of them as a birthday card in the future.
I will also post this over on https://www.wordartwednesday.blogspot.com.  Go check it out and see other inspiration while you are there.

Have a fantastic, enjoyable weekend my friends.  Please come again.
Sending you a hug and love,
Lois
