"Mother's Day Celebration"

 Happy Thursday, May 5, 2022.  It's May and the year is moving along with or without you.  We've been stuck inside for a little while and now we can get out to breathe some fresh air and plant our gardens.  I'm into flowers and my husband has his vegetable garden...just pure joy for the two of us.

The definition of a mother is a woman who gives birth or who has the responsibility of physical and emotional care for specific children.

Used as a title for a woman respected for her wisdom and age.

To look after or care for as a mother does.

A woman who raises a child.

Mother’s Day is a holiday honoring motherhood that is observed in different forms throughout the world. In the United States, Mother’s Day 2022 will occur on Sunday, May 8. The American incarnation of Mother’s Day was created by Anna Jarvis in 1908 and became an official U.S. holiday in 1914. Jarvis would later denounce the holiday’s commercialization and spent the latter part of her life trying to remove it from the calendar. While dates and celebrations vary, Mother’s Day traditionally involves presenting moms with flowers.

Hoping that you celebrate your mom on Sunday, May 8 with flowers, cards, dinner, love, and whatever way you can.  Some of us have seen our moms transition to another world and wish that she was still with us while some of you have moms to shower those blessings upon her.  Take the day to enjoy.

"Cards For Mother's Day"

Hello to all the beautiful people on this Wednesday, April 29, 2020.
How are you doing since we have made it to the middle of the week.  Are you keeping you focus on how good God is?  Remember, if you need additional help with anything, whatever your situation or need, 211 is a three digit number that allows you to find help when you need it. In addition to helping those in need, people who want to give something back to the community by volunteering or making donations can call 211 and get connected.  We are all in this together so let's help wherever or whenever we can.  I'm challenging you!
Most card makers or crafters usually try to stay one month ahead of schedule when it comes to holidays or special days.  May will roll in here on Friday and Mother's Day is not far behind.
I miss my Mom and the celebrations we would give her when she was living.  Being that she has passed on, there are mother's in my community, at my church, and those that I worked with.  I can still help someone celebrate.  I've been making a few cards to get started with my donations.  There are two in this post along with an encouragement card:

"I Wish I Could Make Everything Better"
This is an encouragement card that I made and posted to Instagram on yesterday.  I believe all who viewed it felt better knowing that someone else cares about whatever situation they are in.  We may not have the all that they need but even an encouraging word or gesture means so much doing this time in our world.

"Take Heart.  Here's Mine"
I'm using this card as a Mother's Day Card.  Someone will be able to write a sweet message to their Mom or someone who has taken the place of their Mom on Mother's Day.  It could also be used to show someone that you care...from your/my heart to yours.
I've used the plaid and dotted paper from Recollections/Michaels and the floral piece from Tim Holtz's Worn Wallpaper.  The heart is from a Spellbinder's die and the words came from Cosmo Cricket tiny text.  Faux gems were added for decoration.

" The Mini Frames"

Hello friends, followers, visitors and viewers.
Welcome to this Monday, April 9, 2018.
How did you do this weekend?   If you lived in my area, it was cold and wet with rain and snow.  There was not enough snow for accumulation but traces of it was left on the roof top as well as the grass and cars.  Enough for you to know that it did fall from above.
We didn't do anything exciting.  A very relaxing weekend.
I started some die cutting on Saturday for today's card.  I used five different dies because I wanted to do something in the miniature design and I needed the smallest dies I could find in my stash.
Take a look at this card I made.  I had Mother's Day on my mind but I think it could be used in other areas:
