"My Thoughts Are With You"
Hello to all the beautiful people. Our three day weekend is over and now is the time to face the music on our day jobs (lol). How great is that? The good thing is that work is only for four days and before we know it, the weekend will be here again.
What or where are your thoughts at the present time? Is it on the economy? Is it on the government shutdown? Is it on what you're going to wear? Is it on how long the cold or hot weather is going to last? What about a friend or family member...are your thoughts on them?
One family in our neighborhood experienced a son being in a terrible accident just before Christmas in which he received some terrible scrapping and cuts on his arms, hands and back due to the first responders pulling him out of the vehicle through broken glass. Two weeks later, the mother of this same family member was found in her home having had a major stroke in which she cannot use one side of her body and it also affected her speech. This family has been on my mind and in my prayers before and after Christmas. The son is doing better and the mother will be moving to a rehab facility. I made a card for this family today, especially for the lady's mother to have in her hospital room.
Enabler's List:
cardstock: Neenah white: Ranger pink distress cardstock;
dies: Alina Craft circles and Tutti Design Oriental Screen
other: lace ribbon and Anna Griffin die cut with flower; glossy accent
Wherever or whoever your thoughts are on today, I hope they are good ones. You know the kind that will spark you to do something about the situation.
Sending you a hug and love,
Lois

"Happy Birthday Easel Card"
Hello friends, followers, visitors and viewers.
Welcome to Monday. I hope you enjoyed your weekend and had an opportunity to celebrate Cinco De Mayo. This weekend we will be celebrating all mothers. Have you purchased a gift? Are you ordering flowers? Is the card in the mail? My mother is no longer with us. It has been almost twenty years without her but I still have fond memories of celebrating Mother's Day with her.
I have a card to share today...an easel card. It is pretty when you finish it, but the process takes some time especially if you are using a die cut.
