"Toward The Finish Line For The February Birthdays"

Hello Beautiful People.
Guess what I'm doing and will be doing until "it" happens.   What is the "it" that I'm referring to?
If these weather people who have been reporting the weather in my neighborhood are correct, I should be seeing some "white stuff" falling out of the sky before it gets dark.  What "white stuff" am I referring to?  Well, well, my darlings, it sure isn't foam.  It sure isn't cotton.  It sure isn't paint, chalk, and neither is it the clouds falling out of the sky.  I won't keep you in suspense...it is SNOW!  Yes, that four letter word that most people don't want to hear or see especially if you have to drive in it.  Okay, I'm excited because every year I just want to see the first snowfall and then I'm satisfied.  If it happens today (just because it has not for my area this year), I will be happy and overwhelmed with "snow joy".  May I call it that...snow joy.    I just may pulled out my snowman dies to make a card for Friday.  Only if I see the snow.
So many people I know have already celebrated their February birthday.  There are a few more before we end the month on  next Saturday.  A member of our church celebrated her 98th birthday yesterday.  I have a friend whose son will be celebrating his birthday along with my  sister whose birthdays are on the horizon.  If my mom was still alive, she would be celebrating her 100th birthday (RIP mother) on February 25th.

Here are the cards I made for today.
I used Neenah white; Recollections black; DP from Mintay "Secret Place" for my cardstock.
Prima flowers and TH bouquet flowers were used.
I highlighted some areas with Nuvo woodlawn green drops.
TH skeleton flower dies were used for leaves under the flowers.
This will be seen at https://www.wordartwednesday.blogspot.com
With a few pages left in my Hunkydory "Floral Wishes card making kit, I used the Rose Window Deco-Large to make this card.  Everything except the Neenah white and the rose floral cardstock came from this kit.  The layering or decoupage really makes a nice fun loving card for someone's birthday.

Thanks for viewing, commenting and reading this blog.  I appreciate you love so much.

Now, I'm sending you a hug and love,
Lois

"Happy Love Day"

Hello family, friends, followers and visitors.
It's Friday....so happy.
It's Valentine's Day...so happy.
I'm sharing with you...so happy.
I'm excited about today because I've always loved my followers, friends, family and viewers.  Today is the day to celebrate you on this Valentine's Day.  I love you.  Yes, from my heart to yours. You've been kind, and supportive and I want you to know I appreciate it so very, very much.
Today is a fast paced day with so many things to get accomplished.  I paused for a moment to show you what I've been working on.
One of my sister's will be celebrating a birthday before the month is over.  I made her a card on yesterday.  It will be put in the mail so she can get it on her happy day.
I've used a DCWV pattern paper;  a piece of Stamperia paper; a piece of corrugated paper; an ODBD die along with TCW stencil and a piece of lace.
I will enter this over at WordArtWednesday...https://www.wordartwednesday.blogspot.com
This was a fun card to make.  I combined paper from Stamperia with a 49 & Market chipboard piece to make this card.  I have no one to send it to at the present time, therefore, it will go in my box designated for the soldiers.
This was made for my weekly bible journaling.  The sentiment reads, " Love is a faith that dreams will come true . Love is You".
I used paper from my stash that came from Stamperia.  The die cuts came from Tonic Studio and Aliexpress and the sentiment is from  Jot.

I hope your other love will appreciate you today.  Maybe the candy, the flowers, the dinner or the etc.
Have fun and come back again.

Sending you a hug and love,
Lois

"The Infinity Or Never Ending Card Tutorial"

Hello friends, followers, visitors and viewers.
It's Fri-Yay!  We have or will be finishing this four day week and on to something else for the weekend.  There is no bad weather forecast for this weekend so I'll be shopping.  Window shopping to get ideas for fashion, crafting, cooking and reading.  Those are the areas I attend.  I like looking at the clothing line.  I love walking through a craft store or down a craft isle in a store to see what is on sale or to view the latest craft supplies.  I don't like to cook but I enjoy seeing what items I can use for health benefits.  If the store I'm in has a department for books, I love to checkout a favorite author latest book or try a new author's  genre.  This is just for Saturday.  Sunday is my day for church.
What are you going to do?
I started a card by the name of "infinity" or "never ending" last evening.  I got to finish it for your view this morning.  There were two inspiration sites I used to help me out.  I'm passing them along to you so you can see where I got the idea and help to make this one I'm sharing.
Please visit:

I promise you that if you read and watch these two sites you too will be able to make an "infinity/never ending card.

"Happy Birthday Easel Card"

Hello friends, followers, visitors and viewers.
Welcome to Monday.  I hope you enjoyed your weekend and had an opportunity to celebrate Cinco De Mayo.  This weekend we will be celebrating all mothers.  Have you purchased a gift?  Are you ordering flowers?  Is the card in the mail?  My mother is no longer with us.  It has been almost twenty years without her but I still have fond memories of celebrating Mother's Day with her.

I have a card to share today...an easel card.  It is pretty when you finish it,  but the process takes some time especially if you are using a die cut.

"Happy Day" Birthday Card

Good Tuesday friends, followers, visitors and viewers.
After the eclipse, what excitement is in store for you today?
My grand ("Sunshine") started her first day of school for the 2017-2018 school year.  I can imagine the excitement she is feeling.  Meeting new peers and socializing with the ones from last year.
My peers in the teaching field also went in today for meetings and conferences that will take place between today and August 31.  Our school will not open for the children until September 5, 2017.

It is going to be a happy day for everyone involved.
I'm in my crafting space until noon (being happy) and after that other important things.
Are you happy at this moment?  What will it take to cheer you up if you're not?
Here is a card that I made hoping that it will put a smile on your face:

I started with a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock in which I used Distress Oxide inks for the background.  A little water was spritz on the card and with a dry paper towel...it was immediately removed.  Using Tattered Lace Opulent Over the Edge die, I used another piece of smooth cardstock to cut out the die.  As stated, it is over the edge...it does not cut all the way out of the paper.  If you would like for it to do so, then, you will need to snip it away from the paper. There was enough space to slide my distressed piece behind the die.
I used a sentiment that was cut using my Cricut Explore and Cricut Design Space (free image).  For embellishing my card, I placed Martha Stewart faux pearls on the flower, around the top and on the butterfly (Tattered Lace Butterfly Dance die).

"Happy Birthday To You"

Hello friends, followers, visitors and viewers on this June 29, 2017.   It's Thursday and we have one more day before the end of June and before the start of a long weekend.  When some of you finish your shift on Friday afternoon, you will not have to see your co-workers until next Wednesday, July 5, 2017.  How wonderful is that?
For a good laugh, I'm my own boss at the moment, so I have to see myself every day....go ahead...laugh and laugh some more.  Let it out!!!  I just did.  Now, back to business.

Some birthdays are coming up for the month of July....I'm getting started with making some cards for those "special" people.   Today's card is using a color that I personally don't like for myself.  I have very few items in my closet using this color but with packages of paper that I get from my favorite store... some that I really like always include this color in it.  It's fine for making flowers and leaves but I seldom use it for a card.  Someone said that green was the color for 2017.  I haven't researched this information.  I remember from this past weekend, my grand daughter has changed her favorite color from pink to teal.  I'm not sure if she knew that green what the going color for this year.

Take a look at what I worked on this morning:

Above you see the "Birthday" card with two views.
Below you  see some of the items I used:
die: Spellbinders Cascading Grace
stamps: Bo Bunny floral stamp and Martha Stewart clear stamps
paper: Bazzill green and Colorbok Signature Novelty
embellishment: Recollections flowers and green Offray ribbon.
Thanks so much for using your time to view this page today.  I hope you enjoyed your view and will come back again.
Your comments are always welcome here.

Sending you a hug and LOVE,
Lois
