"Let's Catch Up"

Hello my dear friends, followers, visitors and viewers.  It has been a long time coming but I'm here today, January 25, 2021 to play "catch up": to try to reach the same position, score, etc., as a competitor after one has fallen behind.

So much has happen since we last joined together.  We now have a new President and Vice President.  The former has moved down to Florida.  Speaking of Florida, do you realize the National Day Calendar  reports that today is NATIONAL FLORIDA DAY.  National Florida Day on January 25th recognizes the 27th state to join the United States.  The Sunshine State is home to the oldest established city in the country. With over 400 years of history, St. Augustine’s streets and colonial architecture have stories to tell.  Florida offers more than enough to do and see. From man-made worlds and relaxing beaches to long, colorful and intricate history, the Sunshine State’s open spaces and sunny faces require more than one visit.  To my daughter and all the other Floridians, celebrate your state today.  Enjoy the sunshine while I'm soaking up  a dreary, dark sky  with a chance of rain.

Buccaneers and Chiefs advance to Super Bowl.  Super Bowl 55 is scheduled to be played at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, making this the first time in Super Bowl history that one of the competing teams will be playing in their home stadium.

Two long term legends have passed away:  Hank Aaron and Larry King.

Now, for your viewing today, five cards that I've created:

"Don't Give Up" is the title for this card.  It is dedicated to someone who is going through something during this period in their life.  God is still in control.  Learn the lesson so you can be a help to others.

"You Make Me Smile" is dedicated to someone who checks to make sure everything is going okay.  When skies are blue, you can appreciated a smile, a phone call, or just a hug to brighten your day.
"HOPE"  a word for the year for many.  It is a powerful word with lots of possibilities.  We don't just throw up our hands when things don't go in the ABC or 1 2 3 order.  We believe and hope for things to get better.
Valentine's Day is on the horizon but love is in my heart everyday.  We love family and friends and we might as well love those enemies according to the scripture.  Pray for them.  Again, God will turn things around.
We now come to today's creation.  Keep in mind that February 14 is not so many days away.  Get the card, candy and flowers.  We want it all.   I'll share this card at https://www.wordartwednesday.blogspot.com

Thanks for being a great follower, viewer and friend.  Go out and bless someone else today.  We all need to feel the love.

"Three Words For Christmas"

Good Monday, November 4, 2019 to all the beautiful people.
How was your weekend?   We are in the time of heavy sweaters or coats.  The crisp cool/sometimes cold air is beginning to cause upper respiratory problems.
I love the nighttime because I get to snuggle under a warm blanket before falling asleep.
If someone asked you to think of three words for Christmas...what would they be?
To be honest, I can think of more than three but for this writing, I'm only using three on my card share for today.

JOY:
the emotion evoked by well-being, success, or good fortune or by the prospect of possessing what one desires : DELIGHT

LOVE:
strong affection for another arising out of kinship or personal ties

HOPE:
desire accompanied by expectation of or belief in fulfillment

These are not only for Christmas but can be used throughout the year.
My thoughts are always on love, joy and hope.  No matter how difficult things get, I still try to focus on these three things.  Without Christ, none of these things would be a priority in my life.

What are your three words?  Are they the same as the ones I've printed or do you have different ones?

Thanks so much for viewing today and for your continued support.  Please come again!

Sending you a hug and love,
Lois

"Craft Fair Project"

Hello everyone on this Tuesday, October 2, 2018.
Two days into the month of October have been very beautiful.  Some of the trees are beginning to have their leaves fall to the ground.  The vines and dead plants have been removed from the vegetable and flower garden..  We are packing up  items until the spring.   Insects are trying to find homes before the winter sets in.  I will usually check the clothing I wear outside when working to make sure I leave bugs and spiders outside...however those little annoying things still find a way to get inside the house.  Just this morning, my husband had to chase down a spider before it could hide itself from view.
I've been working on some craft fair projects for my daughter.  Today's share is a sample of something I did for her.  Since I have to send her a picture, I decided that everyone else would get a chance to view also:

These are the round wooden pieces that I got from Amazon.  They measure approximately 3 1/4 by 3 1/2.  I used gesso and a coating of pink acrylic paint on the front and back of the wooden piece.  A small piece of lace was added to the bottom and then embellishments of flowers were added.  The little cherubs and angels are air dry clay that I cast from a mold.  She can sell them as a set for "faith", "hope", and "love" or as individual piece.   So far I have made two sets plus one more for the third set (seven in all as of this posting).
Here is the close-up for "faith".

Thanks so much for viewing and for sending such beautiful comments my way.
You are always invited to return.

"LOVE"

October 11, 2016
Hello friends, visitors, followers and viewers on this cool, crisp Autumn morning.  Here comes the sweaters and warm jackets.  This is day two of dressing warm as the cool temperatures rise with the sun.  It is beautiful after the hurricane passed us by.  We experienced a lot of rain and minor flooding in our area but not enough to stop traffic.  I'm hoping all of you are okay and enjoying whatever kind of weather you are having.
I started to do a Christmas card but change my mind in the middle of my cardmaking.  I didn't have time to start all over again so I pulled out some extra and finished this card for today...Christmas will come later...maybe this week, I'm not sure.
