"Let Me Hide Myself In Thee"

Hello friends, followers, visitors and viewers.
How often do you attempt or have in mind to do one thing and it turns out so different from what your intentions were?  When you stop and ponder why...it may be God instructing you to do it HIS way.
I include in my prayer every morning for God to use me in anyway HE choose.  I ask that HE use my hands, my thoughts, my actions to lift HIM up in praise.
As I was shifting around some things, a card fell out on the desk with this sentiment: "Let me HIDE MYSELF in Thee.  I don't remember when or if I printed this out on the computer but there it was .  Is it a message for myself or a message I'm to pass on to someone else...at this writing I don't know...it could go both ways?
Personally, I can do better with my quiet time reading and researching God's Word. I'm aware that I need to  read, then stop and meditate on what I'm reading and to ask for understanding if I'm not getting IT.  For you...it may have a different meaning.
So, with the sentiment that fell on my desk and a lot of crafting supplies, I put together this card for your enjoyment:
entry for http://www.wordartwednesday.blogspot.com

Enabler's List:
cardstock: Kaisercraft craft cardstock;  DP from Heartfelt Creation Botanic Orchid paper
embellishments: Martha Stewart "fern" stickers; Offray mini sheer ribbon flowers; Recollections paper flowers and leaves; Petaloo flowers; cross sticker; plastic netting; Recollections doily.

The next time something happens that you consider "out of the ordinary"... it just may be God speaking to you to do HIS will and not yours.

Thanks for viewing with me today.
Your comments are always welcome.

Sending you a hug and LOVE,
Lois

"Amazing Grace"

Wednesday, April 26, 2017

Hello friends, followers, visitors, and viewers.  It is already looking as if we are going to have a great day.  The rain has stopped and the temperature is rising toward a warm and beautiful day.  Tomorrow will be a better day to get back outside to plant some flowers I picked up on Saturday since the ground is still wet.

This is a special note to all who commented and reassured me that distress oxide on dark cardstock was suppose to look the way it came out on my project, yesterday.  You all are  awesome friends in the crafting world.  Thanks for your expert advice.  I will not list your names....but you know who you are.

For today, I've used cardstock from DCWV "The Far East Stack",  Heartfelt Creation "Botanic Orchid Collections, black Recollections and a striped blue piece out of my stash.
The stamp I used comes from American Craft "Bible Journaling.  The die cuts came from Spellbinders "ferns" and the flower is from Petaloo "Textured Elements".
The tag and butterflies are like the striped piece of cardstock...they were in my stash and I have no company's name to give you.

I'm getting back to my scriptural and bible journaling roots today.  "Amazing Grace" (death on the cross and after the resurrection)...Through the grace of God, the gift by grace has abounded to many through Christ; yet multitudes choose to remain under the dominion of sin and death, rather than to apply for the blessings of the reign of grace. But Christ will in nowise cast out any who are willing to come to him. (Ro 5:20).
Grace is amazing, don't you agree!

Thanks so much for your continued support and comments.
Please visit again.  I enjoy your company!

Lois

"Irresistible, Incredible Watercolor"

Hello to Thursday friends, followers, visitors and viewers.
I'm playing in the water again!   It's warm outside but not enough to go swimming so I decided to get my fingers and paper wet .  It's so irresistible (too attractive and tempting to be resisted).  Every time I mix those colors with water, they appear to get better and better. They are so incredible, making it hard to believe what happens in the process.  No matter how I try, I cannot at this time produce two of the same backgrounds.
The cards I made today have no specific design or directions.  I took out Ranger's watercolor paper, my watercolors and two brushes and mixed some colors and water together. After a period of drying time,   I found a sentiment that could be used on both cards and basically they came together.  I did put more effort into choosing the mat layering  than anything else in these projects.
I going to enter this in the challenge weeks #222-223--Anything Goes at WordArtWednesday.
May the Lord make this day special for you...
