"A Fun Card To Construct"

Hello friends, followers, visitors and viewers.
It's Thursday and it seems as if this week went by so fast.  We have one more day before the weekend.  Are you making plans?  Are you going out shopping for that "big screen TV" to watch the super bowl next weekend?  Are you getting hyped about who is playing and anticipating the half-time show?
I'm getting there but it is a slow process due to many other things that  happened and is requiring my focus and attention.   DH will be maneuvering  better by next weekend than this one...he will.  I have put my faith, trust and hope in God and I know HE will see us through.

Okay, here is a little something for your view today.  I tried to keep it very simple until I added all those Ranger liquid pearls drops.  Before doing that, the card looked "naked" and I had to dress it up a little more (ha, ha, ha).

I started with a white linen piece of cardstock.  First, I used Sizzix (Stephanie Barnard's) dotted Rectangles die to go around my panel.  Then,   I die cut the Poppy Stamp "stick frames" twice on this piece which left an opening.  I used distress oxides on another piece of white cardstock and placed it behind the linen piece .  This looks like it was inlaid back into the cut space, but it is not.  I pulled out my Planner stickers from "Me & My Big Ideas and found one that I liked.  The card looked somewhat blank until I put different colored Ranger liquid pearls drops around the card.  Very easy and fun.
Enabler's List:
cardstock: Neenah white; PaperandMore white linen; Recollection black and the pattern paper is from Recollections Secret Gardenia pad.
Inks: Distressed Oxides blended together; Ranger liquid pearls in six colors
sentiment is from Me & My Big Ideas The Happy Planner stickers.

Thanks for viewing today.  Come again and you are welcome to leave a comment.

Sending you a hug and LOVE,

"Amazing Grace"

Hello friends, followers visitors and viewers.
With the holiday on Monday, today seems like Tuesday instead of the middle of the week.  But let's jump and shout for joy...it is not that many more days before another weekend.

I'm trying not to get anxious about hurricane "Irma".  If she makes landfall in Florida, my daughter may or may not be adversely  affected by this phenomenon .  Not only Florida, but the weather forecaster are predicting that it will travel up the east coast...that means VA will feel some of the effects.  Pray with me dear readers that she and all the other Floridians will be safe.  I've told her that material possessions can be replaced at some point but your life...once gone,  cannot .  If they tell her and the people in her area to evacuate...then do so .
I'm depending on God's Amazing Grace and this is the title for my card.  God holds everything in His hand:

My top focal layer is a piece of Bazzill peach cardstock.  I cut out two die cuts from the heartfelt creations raindrops on roses die using the peach as well as the Neenah white cardstock. The negative cut from the peach provided the backdrop for the white die cuts.  Three different flowers were layered together and two die cut pieces from the peach cardstock were tucked and adhered behind the flowers.  Ranger coral liquid pearls were added around the die cut pieces.  I will enter this card at http://www.wordartwednesday.blogspot.com for the Anything Goes weeks #298-299.

"Be In Hope and In Prayer"

Hello to all on this Monday, July 17, 2017.
The weekend was fun, relaxing, enjoyable, refreshing and it needs to be repeated.
How did you manage?  Was there fun in your activities?

It's fun -day -Monday and I tried to keep my card really simple today.  My fingers did get a little messy but not that much.  I was focus on something soft and not too harsh.
I used  versa Mark ink,  white embossing powder, distress inks, clear stamps and liquid pearls.

Technique:
  • Start with a piece of Strathmore Bristol smooth cardstock cut at the A2 size (4.25 x 5.5).
  • Using two stamps from Inkadinkado "beauty stems, the dove from Recollection "faith" stamp set along with the Misti stamping tool, stamp those items using Versa Mark ink and then use white embossing powder (heated).
  • Use distress inks (not oxide) very lightly in the following colors spun sugar; fossilized amber; cracked pistachio.  Make sure the sentiment area is lightly ink.
  • Use a sentiment from the Recollections "faith" clear stamp and stamp it in the lower right corner using black archival ink.
  • Add the Ranger "liquid pearls" to the floral vines and next to the sentiment
  • Layer your focal piece before adhering it to the Neenah white base cardstock
Below, from left to right are items used: Recollection "faith" clear stamps; Inkadinkado "beauty stem" clear stamps; Ranger mini distress inks; Ranger liquid pearls.
This sentiment says it all when things may not be going good in your life but you haven't given up.  God is still in the healing and fixing business...we must be joyful in hope faithful in prayer (Romans 12:12).  Sometimes when you look around and think things over...it (the problem) could be worse than what it is at the moment.

Thanks for your precious time in viewing and commenting.  It is appreciated.
Come again to see what I'm doing.

Sending you a hug and LOVE,
Lois
