Good Wednesday, August 7, 2019. Are you having a great day in your neighborhood? Where I am, it is a lovely day. I'll be inside most of the day trying to organize some things in my house.
Last evening, I received a call from my niece. She requested prayer for her friend who is having surgery today. Karen (her friend) has a mass that covers many of her internal organs and has travel up to her neck. The surgery will probably last a number of hours due to the many surgeons involved...stomach, lung, heart, shoulder and neck (that is how big this mass is). So, I've prayed a prayer last night and again this morning. Also, I made a card for Karen (it will be sent later this week), and it is also visual for anyone else who needs a prayer at this time. When you want God to move, pray without ceasing. James 5:15-16 states...And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.
Here is my share with you and later for Karen:
The focal piece is made from a Hunkydory paper pad with handmade flowers on top. A butterfly sticker is on the left with the word "prayer" die cut from Hero Arts. Pale pink sequins are glued to the tips of some of the flowers.
I'm not asking you to be on your knees all day praying. Whenever and whatever time you pray today, please whisper a prayer for Karen Carr that she may pull through this surgery she is having today and that all the mass that is in her body will be removed and she can be on the road to recovery... in Jesus name we pray.
Thank you so much in advance for your support and continued encouragement.
Sending you a prayer, hug and love,
Lois
