Some people may be enjoying this day as an extra day off . Most places skim over this day because it is not that special. Our schools are open but the bank and Post Office are closed.
Have you ever given any thought to why Columbus Day is a holiday? Columbus Day is a national holiday in many countries of the Americas and elsewhere which officially celebrates the anniversary of Christopher Columbus's arrival in the Americas on October 12, 1492.
Here is something that I just heard about today: A handful of states are celebrating their first Indigenous Peoples' Day on Monday as part of a trend to move away from a day honoring Christopher Columbus. Indigenous Peoples' Day is a holiday that celebrates and honors Native American peoples and commemorates their histories and cultures. It is celebrated across the United States on the second Monday in October, and is an official city and state holiday in various localities. Four states also officially celebrate Indigenous Peoples' Day instead of Columbus Day: Alaska, Minnesota, Vermont, and South Dakota (which calls it Native American Day).
I have three cards to share with you today.
One is a Fall/Autumn card. One is a bible verse card and the other is a teddy bear card.

| Let's be teddy bears in our next lifetime. Everybody loves them, nobody cares if they"re fat, and the older they get, the more they are worth.
