"Tis The Season"

Hello family, friends, followers, and viewers.  It has been a while since posting.  I'm glad to be with you today and to bring you up to speed on my projects since my last post.

Today, we begin the month of December.  We are also in the "Advent" season or time of the year.  What does this mean to you?  Advent 2020 began on Sunday, November 29 and ends on Thursday, December 24.  Beginning the Church's liturgical year, Advent (from, "ad-venire" in Latin or "to come to") is the season encompassing the four Sundays (and weekdays) leading up to the celebration of Christmas.

The Advent season is a time of preparation that directs our hearts and minds to Christ’s second coming at the end of time and also to the anniversary of the Lord’s birth on Christmas. The final days of Advent, from December 17 to December 24, focus particularly on our preparation for the celebrations of the Nativity of our Lord (Christmas).

Today is also National Day of Giving which encourages giving back. It takes place the Tuesday after Thanksgiving.  After we’ve spent the weekend shopping and looking for the best deals possible, this day reminds us to give to those less fortunate. Whether we look to our favorite causes or charities, it’s a great reminder to lift others up during a generous time of year. On the Tuesday after Thanksgiving charities, families, businesses, community centers, and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give..  I'm particularly a giver for St. Jude and the American Cancer Society.  If you would love to, please send a donation to these two organizations.  If you're skeptical about donation, then, research these organization before giving.  You will find that they do fantastic work for children in both areas.

Here is what you've missed since my last post here.  They are always on Instagram if you have an account there:

This is the one that I will share on https://www.wordartwednesday.blogspot.com

Your support has been an inspiration and encouragement for me this year.  My crafting has kept me grounded and active regardless of the pandemic in which we are still experiencing.  Maybe, 2021 will be better.

Thank you once again,

Lois
